Warzone Players Highlight Potential Marco 5 Movement Speed Bug

Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Season 4 went live June 22 and introduced a new SMG: the Marco 5. Despite praise and positive reception at first for the new update, a glitch with the new weapon has been discovered that is ruining games for Warzone players who come against it.

The bug affecting the Marco 5 and select Vanguard SMGs makes them vastly outperform other SMG options in the speed department. Reddit user elipson made a Reddit thread and claimed, based on data from sym.gg, a website that thoroughly breaks down attributes of CoD weapons, players using the Marco 5 can almost walk faster than players using the Modern Warfare CX-9 while tactical sprinting.

The image above supports this theory by showing the weapons' movement specs side by side. Based on the chart, it's clear that users with the Marco 5 have a bigger advantage movement-wise than other players with weapons like the CX-9. Replace the CX-9 with a bulky shotgun or LMG, and you can imagine just how much more of an advantage the Marco 5 gives players.

One user in the replies believes that the bug was caused by a Taped Grip change, writing, “they even mentioned it in the patch notes but the taped grip change is supposed to be ‘Movement Speed now increased to 5%'. It's clearly way more than 5%, more like 15-20%.” Based on the graphs, it's hard to disagree with this idea of a potential error in the patch giving this weapon's movement speed a huge buff.

Raven Software has yet to acknowledge the Marco 5's movement speed as a bug. It remains to be seen if the studio plans to adjust the gun.
