Could Warzone 3 be a part of Activision and Call of Duty's future?
Warzone 2 is still pretty fresh, with Season 2 having rolled out just a few weeks ago. This season has seen the addition of brand new Resurgence map Ashika Island, along with a fresh Battle Pass and a selection of cosmetics.
Later this month we're expecting to see Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded, adding in even more content to the battle royale. Even further down the line could be more maps which, according to some recent leaks, could see classic and iconic Call of Duty maps make their way into Warzone 2.
So despite all this content in the pipeline for Warzone 2, plenty of Call of Duty fans are curious as to whether Warzone 2 will be the final iteration of Warzone. Could we see a Warzone 3 sometime in the distant future?
Will There be a Warzone 3?
At the time of writing, there's no information on whether or not Activision has plans for a Warzone 3. It's likely that we'll see Warzone 2 receive integration with a number of Call of Duty main series titles in the future, just like the original Warzone with CoD: Vanguard and Black Ops Cold War.
Some players aren't keen on the idea, however, hoping that Warzone 2 remains and is continuously polished by Activision. "Hopefully WZ2 becomes the Forever Game that WZ should’ve been," one user said on Reddit.
It's unclear what the lifespan is on Warzone 2, but it seems Activision is committed to keeping it supported with content for a while yet.
