Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded is bringing major UAV nerfs as revealed in the patch notes on May 10.
Season 3 Reloaded, the mid-season update, will go live May 10 bringing Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Ranked Play, new weapons, maps and more. One of the biggest changes is coming to the UAV. Call of Duty players both old and new know how important UAVs are to dominating gameplay. UAVs were recently made available at all Buy Stations in Warzone 2, but now major nerfs are coming.
Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded Adds Major UAV Nerfs
UAVs, as of Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded, will no longer emit pings for all players in a party with one activated. Instead, the UAV pings will emit from the player that called in the killstreak. The same applies when an Advanced UAV is called in. As well, if the player who called in the UAV dies the UAV will end immediately.
"With UAVs now being available in all Buy Stations, we wanted to better balance their power so that they are as equally balanced for Solos are they are through Quads. We felt that, like all killstreaks, the killstreak should come from the player who calls it in so when players hear "Enemy UAV Overhead," they know that the total radius covered is of a fixed, known quantity across all modes," Activision said in the patch notes.
Plus, UAV cost has been increased to $6,000 at all Buy Stations. The response has been met with player backlash.
