PGA Tour 2K23 is set to be the first game released in the PGA Tour 2K series, as well as in the simulation golf genre, since August 2020. As such, here's a breakdown of the PGA Tour 2K23 release date.
PGA Tour 2K23 Release Date: When is it?
PGA Tour 2K23 is set to release worldwide for PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC (via Steam) on Oct. 14, 2022. Those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition or Tiger Woods Edition will have early access to the game starting on Oct. 11.
The game is set to highlight Tiger Woods' return to prominence in the virtual world, who hasn't been featured on a video game cover since Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 (2013). In addition to being a playable in-game pro, Woods was brought in as an executive director for PGA Tour 2K23, advising the game's development team.
"It’s not only great to be back on the cover of a video game, but the Executive Director role makes this a truly unique opportunity," Woods said in a press release. "2K is the perfect partner for me and I am excited to continue impacting the game and culture of golf beyond my play on the PGA Tour."
Woods is set to be one of 14 male and female pro golfers available to play in PGA Tour at launch, including Justin Thomas, Lexi Thompson, Tony Finau, Lydia Ko, Collin Morikawa, Will Zalatoris and Brooke Henderson.
In addition to more pros, more courses are said to be coming to the game for free as DLC down the line.
PGA Tour 2K23 will include 20 licensed courses at launch, including the South Course of Wilmington Country Club, The Renaissance Club, St. George’s Golf and Country Club and more. The series' custom Course Designer will also return, letting players make their own unique courses and access ones made by others.
