Inventory management is a key survival function in DayZ that new players will want to learn early on. In order to make the most of the limited inventory space, here's how to rotate items.
The goal in DayZ is simple: survive as long as possible. Acquiring loot from across the game's massive world is the one of the most important ways to do this allowing players to build bases, expand their arsenal, and fend off the elements. But you never quite know what you're going to find. Even when you spot the all-important tools you've so desperately been searching for, you'll need to make sure you've got the space to take it with you.
The clothes you adorn yourself with and the backpacks you find will determine how much inventory space you'll have. While it might never feel like enough, managing your inventory to create the most amount of space possible could mean the difference between picking up a gun or leaving it to be found by someone else.
To organize your inventory as much as possible, you'll need to know how to rotate items.
How to Rotate Inventory Items in DayZ: Console and PC
Inventory controls for DayZ on PC are pretty simple. To rotate an item, press and hold the Left Mouse Button on the intended item, then press Space Bar. This will rotate the item and allow you to place it at your intended orientation.
On PlayStation and Xbox, however, the functionality appears to still be missing. It's no secret that the game is still a little rough on consoles compared to its PC counterpart, but with the game undergoing constant updates there's still hope for a fix in the future.
