In Core Keeper, Slime Oil is one of the most useful items in the game as it is a requirement for getting a certain NPC merchant to live in your base.
Slime Oil is categorized as an Uncommon Furniture piece. As hinted at with its name, players can use Slime Oil to recruit the Bearded Slime Merchant to join their camps. The Bearded Slime Merchant sells basic materials like Ores, Larva Meat, Slime and more. Here's a breakdown of how to get Slime Oil in Core Keeper.
Ultimately, obtaining Slime Oil is very straightforward as all players need to do is defeat the first boss in the game, Glurch the Abominous Mass.
Glurch the Abominous Mass is located in the Dirt Biome near the starting area. You'll know it's spawning when you've reached a big open space covered with ground slimes and your screen shakes periodically.
Once you've defeated Glurch, it's guaranteed to drop a Glurch Chest, a Glurch Eye and Slime Oil.
To respawn Glurch after it has been killed, players can place a Giant Slime Summoning Idol on its rune circle. The idol can be purchased from the Caveling Merchant for 500 Ancient Coins.
Spearheaded by the efforts of developer Pugstorm and publisher Fireshine Games, Core Keeper is a 1-8 player mining sandbox game that invites players to build up a base, fight various monsters, farm resources and craft items in order to survive underground.
