On Dec. 6 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, Wooper will be appearing frequently in the wild during the Spotlight Hour in Pokémon GO. The Ground and Water-type Pokémon has been a fan-favorite ever since it made its debut way back in the second generation of games. After five years Pokémon GO has managed to add many of its hundreds of Pokémon to the game. Not all have had their shiny forms included so some might be curious if a shiny Wooper can be caught in Pokémon GO.
Can Wooper be Shiny in Pokémon GO?
Yes, a shiny Wooper can be caught in Pokémon GO. With the Pokémon being featured in a Spotlight Hour it is the perfect time to try to hunt for a shiny. Unfortunately, there is no method to increase the rate a shiny Pokémon can spawn. During Spotlight Hours the featured Pokémon will appear at a higher rate in the wild so it is the best time to shiny hunt.
You cannot miss a shiny Wooper since it appears pink rather than blue. Players will defiantly know it when they see it. Even if you fail to capture a shiny Wooper during its Spotlight Hour, each catch will include double the amount of Stardust. All the extra Wooper candies collected can also be used to evolve it into a Quagsire. Of course, if trainers have yet to capture Wooper at all, the Spotlight Hour will almost guarantee players a Wooper to add to their Pokédex.
