Sojourn has been making the rounds in the gaming world as of recently, due to her being the first hero to fill out OVerwatch 2's extensive roster, along with being the first Black hero on the team.
Yet with Sojourn taking the top spot as "Biggest Overwatch News Happening This Month," she's started to take the limelight from some other bits of news. Specifically, everyone seems to have glossed over Blizzard's new redesign for Roadhog.
Roadhog has been one of Overwatch's more iconic characters, with his shotgun and meathook combo proving to be as deadly (and annoying) as it is cool. That meant that Blizzard didn't have to do too much work to make his play style different, as he already had a pretty full toolkit at that point.
Still, everyone's favorite Australian murder machine was due for a visual update, to add some polish to the game's art style. Consisting of his basic design, Roadhog's new look sports a slick-looking leather jacket, with a bit of wear and tear visible even from a distance in order to keep with that Mad Max-esque design. Rather than the bright yellow of the first game, he's now given dark red highlights with an over all slicker art style. In addition, he sports a new hook, with black metal instead of his classic silver, and what looks like an orange chain.
Over all, the change looks to be pretty intriguing. It's exciting to theorize about where Blizzard may take him, especially with the new narrative focus of the sequel.
