We have finally reached the Nov. 16 release date for Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, but players are puzzled as to why it's still locked. Don't worry, we know the exact reason why.
Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 begins on Nov. 16 and brings with it a treasure trove of new content. For those playing Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer, classic maps such as Shoot House and Shipment make a welcomed return. Players will also get to test their might in the Tier 1 playlist filled with more challenging settings and players.
Warzone fans will have the chance to embark on special extraction missions in the all-new DMZ mode as well as experience a completely revamped Gulag that changes how players drop back into matches. Both Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 will share a new battle pass that presents a more non-linear path to completion.
Why is Warzone 2.0 Locked?
Finding Warzone 2.0 locked after downloading the massive game has left many players frustrated and confused. The game is set to release on Nov. 16 so why can't you play it? Well, the reason behind this is that the game has not officially launched as of this moment. Activision allowed for preloads of Warzone 2.0, but the game itself doesn't go live until Nov. 16 at 10 a.m PST.
