The Finals Closed Beta is entering its final day today, meaning players have just one more chance to play Embark Studios' explosive new shooter. The Beta has a number of unlockables for Beta players to earn, including store-bought cosmetic items, cosmetic items from the Battle Pass and gameplay elements like new weapons. Here's what sticks around after the Beta ends and what's going to get wiped.
My initial impressions of The Finals are very positive, and I'm disappointed to see the game go once more, but it appears to be in a very solid shape and almost ready for a full release with a few more additions like weapons and maps.
What Items in The Finals Closed Beta Are Permanent?
According to the in-game store and Battle Pass, there are several cosmetic items available for purchase that are permanent rewards for Closed Beta players. Two outfits, Closed Beta 2 Stealth and Closed Beta 2 Comfort can be purchased from the Premium Battle Pass and will remain unlocked during the next testing period and full release of the game. A permanent Good Egg Sticker can also be purchased from the Battle Pass and put on weapons.
Competitive players can also earn a number of permanent weapon skins and a weapon charm if they are able to climb high enough in the game's tournament ranking. Reaching Bronze unlocks a permanent skin for the AKM, Silver one for the SR84 Sniper Rifle, Gold a skin for the M60 Light Machine Gun, Platinum unlocks a Golden Egg charm and finally Diamond unlocks a skin for the Sledgehammer.
All other items, including gameplay items, will reset at the end of the testing period. While this may be disappointing to players who played enough to unlock many items or purchased cosmetics to create a stylish character, regaining these items is a relatively easy task compared to grindier multiplayer games.
