Warzone player Metaphor has revealed a simple PC audio trick that allows players to pinpoint enemy locations.
Listening out for your enemy isn't an underhanded practice. You could always hear the footsteps of your opponent when they're nearby, and it's been a standard across plenty of online multiplayer shooters. Audio cues received from movement, looting and more are key to staying at the top of your game.
But Metaphor has now revealed that there are a number of PC settings that you can tweak in order to fully optimize the audio cues.
In a video from Jan. 6, the player said, “There’s a new audio setting discovered that makes your audio sound absolutely insane,”

“This is gonna alert you when people are in the area no matter what.”
To get the same effect, players will need to adjust and enhance a few settings:
- Right-click the speaker icon on your taskbar and go to “Sounds”
- Head to the “Playback” tab find your default device
- Right-click the device and select “Properties”
- Select “Enhancements”
- Turn on “Loudness Equalization”
- Click “Ok”
Players can turn the setting back off by following the steps above and turning off "Loudness Equalization."
Metaphor acknowledged that the settings can sometime make it seem as if enemies are either above or below you, despite being on the same floor. But, the overall changes will make locating the exact position of enemies far easier.
