Yesterday, Ubisoft revealed the details for the upcoming final season of Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 7, claiming it to be the "biggest season yet."
Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 7 is set to arrive on Dec. 6, 2022. The rollout will bring along a huge array of features and content including a new battle pass, new map, and a brand new Operator — the Columbian Defender Solis.
Solis uses her SPEC-IO Electro-Sensor gadget to gather intel to aid a team's strategy. Solis analyzes and identifies Attacker devices, such as drones, breaching devices, and more. Solis is a medium speed, medium health Operator, carrying the P90 or an ITA 12L as a primary weapon and an SMG-11 as a secondary weapon.
Aside from brand new in-game content, Year 7 also brings crossplay and cross-progression to the game. Using Ubisoft Connect, console players will be able to team up with friends on other consoles, e.g. PlayStation players can team up with Xbox. PC players will be able to team up with those using Luna. Crossplay can be turned off via the Crossplay Matchmaking option in the menu.
After logging into Ubisoft Connect, players progress, currencies, and items will be shared across all platforms. Additionally, the Ubisoft Connect account will get one free Alpha Pack.
Brand-new map, Nighthaven Labs, also arrives at season launch. Its interior features multiple access points and plenty of breakable walls. Both Attackers and Defenders could easily be flanked and lose their position, so navigation and strategy is key. Nighthaven Labs will not be bannable during Operation Solar Raid to ensure all players get the chance to learn and play on the new map during the season.
Rainbow Six Siege is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, Ubisoft+, and Amazon Luna.
