The Finals is back for another public test, but this time it's an Open Beta. No more begging or hunting for keys! In order to accommodate this huge influx of players, the developers at Embark Studios have added console platforms to their test, widening the playing field of The Finals even further. Here's what you need to know about the platform functionality of The Finals Open Beta.
The Finals is an explosive game show shooter from ex-DICE developers, the minds behind Battlefield. The game features the team's trademark destructive action but transplants it into a chaotic virtual environment. The gameplay recalls old-school Capture the Flag and King of the Hill modes, marking a major departure from the current battle royale and extraction shooter trend.
The Finals Open Beta: Is it Cross-Platform?
According to an X post by Embark Studios, The Finals Open Beta is cross-platform. This means players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC will be able to play with one another. Do note that last-gen consoles are not supported as of now. Furthermore, players who'd previously been in PC tests can transfer their progress to console by linking their Embark ID account.
