Sony is bringing Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart to PC on July 26 with several enhancements.
"The PC version of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart features ray-traced reflections with a variety of quality levels to choose from and newly added ray-traced shadows for natural light in outdoor areas," says Julian Huijbregts, Online Community Specialist for Nixxes Software, which was acquired by PlayStation Studios in 2021, and has worked with Ratchet & Clank developer Insomniac on several PlayStation-to-PC ports.
The game also supports “unlocked framerates and includes the latest performance enhancing upscaling technologies," Huijbregts adds. "You’ll be able to choose from Nvidia DLSS 3, AMD FSR 2, Intel XeSS and Insomniac Games’ Temporal Injection. Nvidia Reflex and image quality enhancing Nvidia DLAA are also supported."
In our 5/5-star review of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart for PS5, we celebrated its "stunning visuals, haptic controls, and blazing-fast load times." Given that the PC version will include support for 21:9, 32:9, and 48:9 aspect resolutions, thus enabling triple-monitor setups and ultra-wide screen gameplay, PC gamers likely won't want to miss out.
The PC version will also offer full mouse and keyboard support with customizable controls, while DualSense controllers will permit users to feel in-game actions due to dynamic trigger effects. It will also include the five armors of the Digital Deluxe Edition and the 20th Anniversary Armor Pack, in addition to a further five armors inspired by earlier games in the franchise.
Sony is set to reveal more details about the PC features of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart “in the coming weeks.” The game can be pre-ordered on Steam and in the Epic Games Store.
