With just over a month until the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, a new trailer reveals a new giraffe Pokémon, Farigiraf. This exclusive evolution form of Girafarig will join Ceruledge, Armarouge, and Grafaiai in the Paldea region. Debuting on Nov. 18, 2022, here’s everything we know so far about Farigiraf.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Farigiraf: Everything We Know So Far
Girafarig, its first form, was originally introduced to the franchise in generation two and was never given an evolution form. This Long Neck Pokémon was both normal and psychic-typed, rendering it weak against bug and dark-typed Pokémon, immune against ghost-typed attacks, and resistant to other psychic-typed attacks. Finally getting an evolution, seven generations later, like Girafarig, Farigiraf will also be normal and psychic-typed.
In its first form, Girafarig resembles a giraffe, possessing an extra head on its tail. This additional head on the Pokémon, acts independently to the host but is a source of some of the Pokémon’s psychic abilities.
Farigiraf has a similar appearance to Girafarig, however, both of its heads are fused into one. What was once on its tail, now encapsulates its head, and connects its brain through a singular nerve. Additionally, the antenna on the top of its head emits psychic waves. Having heightened offensive and defensive capabilities, its abilities will include 'Cud Chew' and 'Armor Tail.'
