Pokémon GO Ditto March 2023: How to Catch

Every so often, the circumstances in which Ditto can be caught find themselves getting refreshed. Ditto, known to many Pokémon GO players for its transform ability (allowing it to appear as select Pokémon), has gotten new disguises for the month of March.

Ditto is a Normal-type Pokémon that hails from the Kanto region, featured in Pokémon Red and Blue, Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen and the Let's GO Pikachu and Eevee games, among many others.

As alluded to previously, Ditto gets a semi-brand new list of Pokémon that it could potentially be hiding as once in a while. These Pokémon have, in the past, included Pokémon like Venonant, Teddiursa, Remoraid, Stunky and Foongus. Below is the updated list for players to expect a Ditto to be hiding behind.

Pokémon GO Ditto March 2023: How to Catch

Here is the list of the Pokémon that may, in fact, be Ditto hiding in disguise:

  • Ekans
  • Gastly
  • Spinarak
  • Natu
  • Surskit
  • Numel
  • Bidoof
  • Finneon
  • Lillipup
  • Dwebble
  • Swirlix

Players should be keeping in mind that if any of these Pokémon appear as shiny, they can still be Ditto, but they will not be a Ditto of the shiny variation. Catching a shiny Ditto can only be done by catching from the aforementioned list of Pokémon and hoping, upon catch, that after the transformation fades, the Ditto is shiny.

Ditto was released into the wilds of Pokémon GO in Nov. 2016, and has taken, and will continue to take a myriad of different disguises in the future.
