One Overwatch fan has taken it upon themselves to rework some of Overwatch's classic heroes, including Zenyatta and Mei.

It's not unusual for fans to weigh in on what they believe the next twist their favorite game should make. Overwatch is no different, with several having proposed a host of changes to their main hero's kit. One Reddit user appears to be doing just that.

Previously, shinoluigi focused their efforts on Zenyatta — suggesting an additional effect for their orbs that could impact mobility. Now, they've shifted their focus to Mei.

Shinoluigi proposed three changes: a new passive and two extra abilities.

The new passive, Snow Globe, creates an aura around Mei that freezes enemies that get too close to her that have already been affected by contact with the Endothermic Blaster. Those enemies will be frozen for 1-2 seconds with a 5 second cooldown between potential freezes.

Meanwhile, changes to Endothermic Blaster would have Mei create a "frozen path" that speeds both her and, potentially, her teammates through the map while changes to Cryo-Freeze would last for a shorter amount of time but create a bigger obstacle with an additional transitive effect upon interaction.

While some embraced these suggestions, others began to pick them apart. One particular point of contention was the method by which players would employ the Endothermic Blaster -- pointing directly at the ground.

"I don’t think it’s a good idea to have the player pointing their camera at the floor for extended periods of time. That isn’t engaging." User Ashkal_Khire wrote.

Serpientesolida87 seemed to agree, writing, "The mobility skill would be very nice, they said they wanted to do something like that but it was weird cause you have to aim to the floor, you don't see anything."

While developers haven't taken public notice of shinoluigi's proposed changes, there's no guarantee they aren't watching. Perhaps players will see a higher-mobility Mei in the coming months.
