League of Legends Patch 12.8 officially drops on April 27, but luckily, we've been given a preview of what to expect. RiotPhlox has posted a peak into what champion buffs, nerfs, and adjustments we will see in the upcoming patch.
League of Legends Patch 12.8 Changes Previewed
This patch will see buffs to ADCs like Ezreal, Tristana, and Jhin, and nefs to Jinx and Xayah. Xayah and Jinx have both been solid picks in high-rank play for a while now, consistently being ranked as top-tier on sites such as METAsrc and U.GG. We can see their nerfs, and the other ADC champions buffs, as an attempt to make the bot lane a bit more diverse in the coming patch.
Ezreal especially has not been that reliable of an ADC pick, so hopefully, his buffs give him a chance to shine a bit more than before. We also see AP Kai'Sa receiving some adjustments. Kai'sa has been played in the mid lane recently, and even though she hasn't been performing well, these adjustments might have been done with the hope of pushing her back into the bot lane.
Other notable champion buffs are Mordekaiser's passive move speed, Kassadin's Q shield, Xerath's stun duration, and Sylas' R cooldown reduction.
Aatrox, Seraphine, and Pyke were originally going to be included (the former two given buffs, the latter a nerf), but these changes have been scrapped before the release.
