League of Legends Patch 12.7 introduces nerfs for Galeforce affecting hyper carries like Jinx and Aphelios.
League of Legends Patch 12.7: Galeforce Nerfed

Galeforce has been dominating the meta, and for good reason. The extra mobility and damage it provides upon casting is a great choice for almost any marksman-- so great, that it's hard to pick anything else. Riot Games has taken notice of this, and Galeforce is one of the target of nerfs in the latest League of Legends patch.

The Galeforce nerf targets its active cooldown speed. Going from 90 seconds to 110 seconds, Galeforce users will now have a longer wait time to have access to the extra mobility and damage it provides.

The 12.7 patch notes say that the developers are hoping to "shake up the meta a bit to allow for some more diverse picks in 12.7 and 12.8." The nerf on Galeforce was almost assuredly done with this mind. Galeforce has been such a key item in marksmen builds that it's hard to see something else, like Kraken Slayer or Immortal Shieldbow, be built instead. With Galeforce no longer as powerful, it will hopefully encourage players to try other builds instead of always going straight for Galeforce.

Jinx and Aphelios are specifically mentioned in the patch notes, but they are not the only champions who will be affected by this nerf. Jhin and Akshan are examples of other champions who will be hit hard by a less powerful Galeforce.
