Although Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 2 just dropped last week, fans already want to know if Verdansk could be making a return to the Battle Royale in 2023.
After Warzone 2 received a lot of criticism at its launch, Infinity Ward brought back beloved aspects of the original Warzone in the latest update, such as the 1v1 Gulag, static Buy Stations, and Resurgence mode. They also dropped a new map, Ashika Island, as an alternative for Al Mazrah.
It seems that no matter what the game brings, though, fans will always want Verdansk back. So, can they expect its return this year?
Is Verdansk Returning to Warzone in 2023?
According to CharlieIntel, Activision sent out a survey at the end of January asking voters to choose which map they would most want to see return to Warzone, including the original Verdansk and Blackout from Black Ops 4.
Although a single survey does not confirm Verdansk is coming back, fans at least now know Activision is aware of the intrigue surrounding its return to the game.
If Verdansk does not return to Warzone, fans can play the map on Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. The game is set to release in the United States later this year.
