Fortnite update v25.11 is now live, and fans want to know if the beloved Pump is back in Chapter 4 Season 3.
Fortnite WILDS brought new weapons to Epic Games' Battle Royale that upended the meta. Now, the Drum Shotgun dominates Zero Build matches, and without the Red-Eye Assault Rifle, players must rely on the MK-Alpha to deal long-range damage.
Today's patch introduced even more options for fans to choose, including the Explosive Repeater Rifle. The new gun will trigger an explosion when fired, acting as a quasi-grenade launcher. The Heavy Sniper Rifle has also been vaulted, paving the way for a more aggressive play style.
With all the weapon changes, has the Pump finally returned to Fortnite?
Is the Pump Back in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3?
The Pump is back in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3, but with a new name: Sharp Tooth Shotgun. The weapon is practically identical to the OG Pump and gives players a new option to run if they cannot get their hands on a Havoc Pump Shotgun.
Unfortunately, the Sharp Tooth Shotgun's damage does not come close to the headshot of the Pump. A Legendary Sharp Tooth Shotgun headshot will only do 196 damage, and a body shot is only 118. If you are running the Sharp Tooth Shotgun in Zero Build, make sure you have a Combat SMG to finish the kill.
Despite the low damage, the return of the Pump is a welcome sight in Fortnite. The weapon will be great for early game engagements, but if you want to ensure a win, the Mythic Drum Shotgun or the Heisted Accelerant Shotgun are still the best options.
