PowerWash Simulator hit full release July 14 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game allows you to play solo or team up with a friend to run your own power washing business, and it has become one of the highest rated games on Steam.
Now that the game is available across Windows and is no longer restricted to Steam, Xbox players can finally play PowerWash Simulator as well. Some players are wondering if they can play with friends on other platforms via crossplay.
Is PowerWash Simulator Cross-Platform?
According to developer FuturLab, Powerwash isn't fully cross-platform. The game is restricted to Windows and Microsoft's Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, so you can't play with players on Playstation or any other platform.
If you're on Xbox and have the game, and wish to join the game of a friend on Windows, you can natively join their game via the friends list. The same goes for Steam to Steam. If you want to play with a Steam player and you're on Xbox or vice versa, you can join players with a unique room code that can be shared with friends.
There is no online matchmaking available for PowerWash Simulator, so you're only able to play with friends in the above two ways. Currently, there's no word from developers regarding whether they plan to add matchmaking to the game now that it's left early access, or if you'll have access to the game on additional platforms in the future.
