LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Twitch Queen' Pokimane has advanced her streaming career, and content development after she co-founded a content group called Offline TV. But recently, Pokimane has hinted at a new endeavor in her career as a podcaster, similar to Joe Rogan, after flourishing as a Twitch streamer and YouTube creator.
Although this change in material from Pokimane may not surprise many of her fans, she stated in 2022 that she would not be streaming regularly and would instead focus on other types of entertainment.
'I should start my own lil podcast'
Pokimane took to Instagram Stories in March to hint at her future as a content maker. She talked about her passion for conversing with individuals during her live streams. She wrote in her Instagram Story, “I love chatting on the stream so much that I wonder if I should start my own lil podcast, lol, but for now, let me recommend a few cool podcasts I listen to :).”
Pokimane's live streams have evolved from simply playing 'League of Legends' to hanging out and conversing with her audience. She has one of Twitch's most popular 'Just Chatting' channels. Pokimane's fans enjoy interacting with her, so a podcast could be an excellent next step. Given her current following, she may be able to compete with the followers of Rogan. The latter is well-known in the podcasting world. After all, he is a top podcaster who has interviewed numerous celebrities.
'I started a podcast with Pokimane'
Many streamers and content creators have regularly experimented with podcasting. They all have successful podcasts, from YouTuber-turned-wrestler Logan Paul to the British creator group Sidemen. Furthermore, Pokimane has previously displayed some of her podcasting abilities on her creator group's 'OTV Podcast'.
Kick streamer xQc once stated during his Discord stream that a podcast with Pokimane is in the works and it trailed in May 2022. Working together on a product is a major step for the two streaming heavyweights, and if they stick to the podcast's future, it will likely draw massive numbers. “I had two podcasts in mind. The studio for the first one has been getting worked on for months now, if we like [the] format, we’ll use the studio for the Poki/x one,” xQc's discord stated.
xQc later shared a video on his YouTube channel stating, "I Started A Podcast With Pokimane." During the show the two discussed a variety of topics. After the 3 hours of trial video, they did not provide any updates about future episodes.
