Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon was announced Dec. 2022 as a prequel to all the Bayonetta games that have come before it.
Players will play as Cereza, who would soon become known as Bayonetta, and her very first Demon, Chesire, as they go into the Avalon Forest searching for Cereza's mother so they can save her. Players go between controlling both Cereza and Chesire to tackle different parts of each puzzle they have in front of them.
The combat system of this game is also unique due to the fact that Cereza's controls require one side of the controller, and Chesire's require another. Their styles of combat vary drastically from one another, which is another layer of complexity added onto the gameplay.
Is Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon on PlayStation?
Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon will only be available on the Nintendo Switch on Mar. 17, not on the PlayStation or any other platform.
As the game is produced by Nintendo, it is natural to assume that the game would only have a release on Nintendo's platform, the Switch. So, even though the game requires a Nintendo Switch to play, there is still a lot of time for potential players to find an opportunity to garner a Switch for themselves to play.
The game will be playable in TV, Tabletop and Handheld mode on the Nintendo Switch.
Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is available for Pre-Order for $60.
