As fans explore THQ Nordic's new wrestling game, they want to know if AEW Fight Forever supports cross platform play.
AEW Fight Forever is the first video game by WWE-rival, All Elite Wrestling. After waiting three years, fans can finally dive into the chaos of AEW matches and weapons as their favorite wrestlers. Although there are no New Japan Pro-Wrestling or Ring of Honor superstars to choose from, the faces of AEW are ready to hop into the ring.
The game forgoes the realistic graphics of WWE 2K23 and opts for nostalgic arcade gameplay, similar to WWF No Mercy. The game can now be purchased across all platforms, but can players on different devices play with one another?
Is AEW Fight Forever Cross Platform?
At launch, AEW Fight Forever does not support cross platform play. Fans are not able to play with their friends on other platforms, despite the game releasing on console, PC, and Nintendo Switch. There is cross generation, though, so PS4 players can play with PS5 players, and Xbox Series X|S players can play with Xbox One players.
Last year, when asked about AEW Fight Forever, Kenny Omega said, "We have a lot of match types, game modes, [and] there is going to be cross-platform and an online component where you can create your own lobby and things like that and have fun with friends."
Perhaps the developers decided to go in a different direction, or the game will indeed feature cross platform play in the future.
