With the launch of Season 1 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 right around the corner, as well as the World Cup, Activision has announced that it has partnered with Messi to bring the soccer icon to life in-game.
Here's a breakdown of how to get Messi in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.
How to Get Messi in Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2
As unveiled in the newly released Season 1 roadmap, Messi will be one of three big-name footballers getting his own special, limited-time bundles in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 during the Modern Warfare FC event.
The Messi bundle will available for purchase in the in-game store in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 on Nov. 29.
Since Activision has yet to reveal the full contents of the bundle just yet, it will be interesting to see if any weapon blueprints, weapon charms, stickers, player cards, player emblems and finishing moves are included.
More details on the Modern Warfare FC event, including a limited-time CODBall mode and a community Support Your Team Pick’em minigame, are said to be coming during the season.
The Messi bundle will be one of the first special offerings released in the "New Era" of Call of Duty. Although cosmetics from Modern Warfare (2019), Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard won't carry over to Warzone, COD Points will indeed be transferrable between all games.
