Details surrounding Warzone 2 Season 3 are slowly emerging. In addition to Warzone 2 Ranked and Plunder joining the game, the FJX Imperium Sniper is also making its debut in the Battle Royale. The FJX Imperium was first introduced as the Intervention Sniper in the original Modern Warfare 2 and was last seen in Infinite Warfare in 2016.
Despite its popularity in Warzone, sniping is no longer the meta in Warzone 2. Without a suitable sniper to drop enemy players in one-shot, players have opted to instead run LMGs or ARs. The return of the Intervention Sniper could cause a much-needed shift in the meta.

Players will be able to unlock the FJX Imperium in the Season 3 Battle Pass. Although it is unclear what sector the weapon will reside in, players will not have to worry about purchasing the Battle Pass to retrieve the presumably free reward.
The Season 2 Battle Pass introduced the ISO Hemlock in Sector B11 and the KV Broadside in Sector B4. Players can expect the FJX Imperium to be found in a similar spot, and hopefully, to make a similar impact. The ISO Hemlock and KV Broadside very quickly dominated the game, especially in Resurgence mode. If the Intervention Sniper brings back its power and popularity, then sniping just might make Warzone 2 a little more exciting.
