Here's how to find Onikabuto in Genshin Impact.
Collecting materials is an extremely important part of Genshin Impact. Besides being used for crafting items, furniture recipes, and cooking recipes, they're also essential for leveling up and ascending characters. The Onikabuto is an Inazuma Local Specialty â here's where players can find it.
How to Find Onikabuto in Genshin Impact
Onkabuto appear as bright purple beetles, and can only be found in the region of Inazuma. They're most commonly found in areas of high Electro concentration, such as Mikage Furnace and Mt. Yougou. They're usually found sitting on trees or rocks, and can be collected on Narukami, Kannazuka, Yashiori, and Seirai Island.
So far, Onikabutos are only used to ascend one character: Arataki Itto. For players who want to fully ascend Itto up until Level 90, they're going to need a total of 168 Onikabuto. Onikabuto respawn 3 days after being collected.
Besides ascending characters, Onikabuto can also be used to craft the Electro Treasure Compass. With this item, players can activate it to locate any Treasure Chests that may be nearby as long as they're in Inazuma.
At the moment, there are no shops that sell Onikabuto. This means that players will have to go around and collect them themselves. However, this can be made significantly easier with the use of farming location guides, as well as the Teyvat Interactive Map, which allows players to see the location of every collectible item in the world of Genshin Impact, including Local Specialties like Onikabuto.
