God of War Ragnarök High Frame Rate Mode Detailed

With the current generation of Playstation and Xbox consoles being as technologically advanced as many gaming PCs, games have started to allow players to have different options for visual performance. God of War Ragnarök has a high frame rate mode that is exclusive to the PS5 version of the title. Here is what players can expect when enabling the high frame rate mode in God of War
Ragnarök on their PS5s.

Players that prefer to have an action-adventure game like God of War Ragnarök present in the highest quality of visuals that the PlayStation 5 has to offer will want to set their game to the Favor Quality mode. This will have the game run at 30 to 40 frames per second with an 1800 to 2160 pixel resolution depending on the setup players have.

Trading in graphic quality for the High Frame Rate mode will allow players to experience God of War Ragnarök in an unlocked 60 frames per second. The graphics still look quite decent even at a lower resolution of 1440 pixels. With the fancier 4K television players can even reach resolutions of 2160p in the High Frame Rate mode.

Players can customize these features in the game's setting in the main menu or at any time during the game in the pause menu. These options are exclusive to the PS5 version so those that play on a PS4 Pro or a normal PS4 will be stuck with 30 frames per second and 1080 pixel resolution.

Those that played the previous game when it first came out back in 2018 should not notice a huge difference when compared to the first game. Unfortunately, anyone who played the game on PC or through updates on PS4 Pro or PS5 will miss the added frames if stuck playing God of War Ragnarök on the last generation's PS4.
