FIFA 23 Fantasy FUT kicked off Mar. 3 with the first promotional team in packs, new Fantasy FUT Heroes, SBCs, objectives and more.
Fantasy FUT returns after first being introduced in FIFA 22. These items upgrade depending on how the player and club they play for perform in real life starting Mar. 17. Players and clubs have six domestic league games to meet requirements for four possible upgrades. Here's everything you need to know about FIFA 23 Fantasy FUT Upgrades.
FIFA 23 Fantasy FUT Upgrades Explained
Here are the possible upgrades for FIFA 23 Fantasy FUT items:
- Upgrade 1: One win in next six domestic league games (+1 overall boost)
- Upgrade 2: Three appearances in next six domestic league games (+1 overall boost)
- Upgrade 3 (Attackers/Midfielders): Two goals or assists in next six domestic league games (+1 overall boost)
- Upgrade 3 (Defenders/Goalkeepers): Two clean sheets in next six domestic league games (+1 overall boost)
- Upgrade 4: Avoids defeat in next six domestic league games (+1 overall boost, three new traits)
The domestic league match counter starts on Mar. 17, so those wanting to follow upgrade possibilities need to count domestic league matches starting then. Attackers and midfielders do not need to score either two goals or two assists. Players who get one goal and one assist will also qualify for that upgrade.
FIFA 23 Fantasy FUT Clean Sheet
According to EA Sports, "A clean sheet is awarded to a defender or goalkeeper for not conceding a goal whilst on the pitch and playing at least 60 minutes. If a player is substituted off when a goal is conceded they will still fulfill the clean sheet upgrade scenario, provided that they were substituted off before the goal was scored and they played at least 60 minutes during the match."
Fantasy FUT items will upgrade weekly if they achieve an upgrade. Players won't have to wait until all possible upgrades are achievable.
