Now that fans finally get to delve into the hellscape that is Sanctuary, they're already dying to know what's in store for Season 1. Blizzard releases quarterly updates (aka Seasons) that add news quests, gameplay features, class-balance changes, items, and more to make the hunt for Lilith easier.
While Diablo 4 Season 1's start date isn't set, we know that it's scheduled to release in July, and you'll have to beat the campaign first to play it. Then, the Season unlock and you can explore new chapters. Be sure to explore Sanctuary as much as you can before it releases.
Other than that, there's a lot you need to know about the upcoming Season. First, there's the Season Journey chapters. You'll receive special rewards upon completing all Objectives in these Chapters, such as Crafting Materials and Legendary Aspects. As stated in the official Blizzard blog, they are essential for leveling-up your Battle Pass.
Speaking of that, Diablo 4's Battle Pass is $10 worth of in-game currency. The first Season's Battle Pass is included in both the Digital Deluxe Edition and the Ultimate Edition of the game, but the latter also comes with 20 Tier Skips.
Last but not least is the Shop. The Shop is strictly for cosmetic purposes so players can live out their greatest fantasies through character customization. Players should expect to purchase the Cosmetics with Platinum, and look forward to rotating items in the Shop too.
