We've put together a guide on how trainers get can shiny Ducklett in Pokemon GO.
Ducklett is a water and flying-type, also known as the "Water Bird" Pokemon. It prefers swimming to flying and happily dives to eat its favorite food, peat moss, from the water bed. They are excellent divers because of this. If attacked, it will use its wings to splash water around before disappearing underneath the spray. Ducklett is native to the Unova region and its PokeDex number is #580.
It and its evolved form, Swanna, are likely meant as a reference to the "Ugly Duckling" fable. In the story, a baby swan becomes mixed in with a clutch of ducklings and believes itself to be a duck. The baby swan is ostracized for standing out from its siblings and frets over being different. At the end of the story, however, it grows into a beautiful and elegant swan, proving that it was never actually a duck to begin with.
Shiny Ducklett in Pokemon GO
Unfortunately, Ducklett cannot be shiny in Pokemon GO at the time of writing.
Ducklett was released into the game during the game's fourth anniversary event in July 2020 alongside its evolved form, Swanna. It has the following stats:
- Maximum CP: 968
- Maximum HP: 145
- Attack: 84
- Defense: 96
- Stamina: 158
Shiny Ducklett is a bright pink color with deeper purple chest fluff. Its yellow beak and feet remain the same color. Its evolved form, Swanna, follows suit with its shiny form, as well. Its dusty blue chest foliage and charcoal gray feet turn a similar value of purple while its beak becomes neon yellow.
DBLTAP cannot confirm a debut date for shiny Ducklett. According to the traditional release behavior within Pokemon GO, we can expect that shiny Ducklett and shiny Swanna will be implemented together.
Ducklett evolves into Swanna using 50 candies.
