Apex Legends Season 13 release date was revealed Monday, giving fans something to look forward to. Titled "Saviors" the new season has a new Legend in Newcastle, a new sea creature POI, and a new loot structure.
While a lot of information for upcoming seasons and data has been leaked, some of the new features were completely hidden like the IMC Armories.
When Does Apex Legends Season 13 Release?
Fans can look forward to returning to Storm Point on May 10.
The new season will have the usual new cosmetics and battle pass, but also much more. Respawn Entertainment is working on "smart bins" giving players a better chance at receiving useful loot. The bins will give players items based on what's missing in their loadout. This singular idea raises the question of whether Apex Legends would ever have loadouts? When asked in a developer meeting, they responded with a rather straightforward answer. For now, no. Respawn likes the scramble for weapons and thinks it's key to the BR experience. But they are "exploring" the idea. You can see that exploration in the form of Control when players have set loadouts or even the new "smart bins." That in itself is a step toward deterministic loot.
We'll have to wait and see if Respawn continues down that path giving players more choice when it comes to their loot.
