An Apex Legends leak has perhaps given players their first look at the next weapon attachment that Respawn Entertainment is whipping up for its ever-popular battle royale.
With both Apex Legends Season 13: Saviors and Apex Legends Mobile off and running to remarkable starts, it appears the debut of an exciting new attachment could be right around the corner as well.
On Friday, May 27, a Redditor by the username of VyKost posted on the r/ApexUncovered page with a particularly eye-opening video and title: "Laser Sight coming to Apex Legends in the near future."
With this apparent leak, the clip shows the Laser Sight being used on the R-99 SMG, taking up the attachment slot that would normally hold a Barrel Stabilizer.
When hovered over, the Laser Sight's in-game description seemingly reads, "Moderate hipfire spread reduction. Laser is only visible to allies."
According to VyKost, players can choose to use different rarities of Laser Sights in place of Barrel Stabilizers for weapons that are compatible with them, of course.
Additionally, it seems that in addition to tightening the equipped weapon's hipfire accuracy, using a Laser Sight also helps with recoil control while ADS-ing.
Ultimately, this also seems to line with initial leaks from January in which it was first rumored that Laser Sights would be a new type of attachment for the R-99 SMG, P2020, RE-45 Auto, Wingman, Volt SMG and Prowler Burst PDW.
Of course, with all Apex Legends leaks and rumors, feel free to take all of this information with a grain of salt until it's officially revealed by Respawn Entertainment.
