Slime Rancher 2 currently has five new slimes along with the returning slimes of the first game.
Many players were quickly drawn to the original Slime Rancher thanks to its cute art style and gameplay loop, taking the tried and true aspects of a farming simulator and doing something original. With the success of the first game, many players were left wondering if their favorite slime farming sim would receive a sequel.
Thankfully, Monomi Park, the studio behind Slime Rancher, was quick to announce its plans to make a sequel game, and on Sept. 22, Slime Rancher 2 went into early access, allowing players to visit the far, far range again. With the main draw of the game being the slimes, many players were left wondering just how many new slimes there were in Slime Rancher 2.
All New Slimes in Slime Rancher 2
There are currently five new slimes in Slime Rancher 2 along with the returning slimes of the first game. Although the game is currently in early access, it is unknown if new slimes will be added to the game before the official release. The new slimes are:
- Cotton Slime
- Angler Slime
- Ringtail Slime
- Batty Slime
- Flutter Slime
These slimes will bring in interesting combinations that will result in bigger profits for players when they are bred. Each slime type has its own diet and needs that players will need to figure out before being able to profit off of them.
