1. Nicholas Cage in 'Dead By Daylight'

Nicolas Cage, the master of unexpected role selections, is the cameo that served as the inspiration for this list. It looks like 'Dead by Daylight' players will be able to control Nicolas Cage, who is now the most well-known celeb to feature in a video game. However, gamers won't be able to control Cage until July 5th.

Although Cage is present in the asymmetric multiplayer horror game 'Dead By Daylight,' which also has playable characters from other well-known horror series like 'Scream,' 'Evil Dead,' and 'Resident Evil,' it is nonetheless odd.

2. Negan in 'Tekken 7'

The 'Walking Dead's intimidating evil guy with a baseball bat makes an appearance in 'Tekken 7' and appears as DLC in 2019 'Beat 'em Up.' The usage of Jeffery Dean Morgan's voice and likeness adds to the experience's surrealism.

Negan's participation in 'Tekken,' though never officially acknowledged, may be because Bandai Namco previously worked with Image Comics - the company that publishes 'The Walking Dead.' This only makes it more bizarre that the portrayal in the game is based on the TV persona and not that of the comic book character.

3. Yosuke Matsuda and Kenichi Sato in 'NieR Automata'

Since 'NieR: Automata' is an odd game, it is not surprising that its DLC is also odd. Platinum Games' 2017 expansion "3C3C1D119440927" introduces new bosses to the game. primarily Yosuke Matsuda, CEO of Square Enix, and Kenichi Sato, president of Platinum Games.

Two executives from 'NieR: Automata's developer and publisher are the Fourth Wall-breaking bosses. Even the mission giver makes fun of these strange bosses, saying, "What you're going to witness may wind up shattering your sense of immersion. Are you all right with that?"

4. Samuel L Jackson in 'Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas'

Unexpected celebrity cameos are common in the Grand Theft Auto games. Whether it be Ricky Gervais doing a portion of his stand-up routine in 'Grand Theft Auto IV' or the late, great Ray Liotta providing Tommy Vercetti's voice in 'Grand Theft Auto Vice City.'

One that comes to mind as being particularly bizarre is 'Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' from 2004, when Samuel L Jackson, the King of Cool, plays the major antagonist Officer Frank Tenpenny.

5. Hideo Kojima in 'Metal Gear Solid V'

One could go on and on about the strange and fantastic cameos that Kojima has made in video games, such as his appearance as a parody of himself in Cyberpunk 2077 or the use of his voice to lead players through a side mission in Control.
